Beta terms
TapeNote is in beta. That means: it works, but it is not finished. These terms apply to your participation.
Last updated: 2 October 2026
1. What the beta is
By invitation you get free access to the desktop app and TapeNote Cloud, to use them and give us feedback. Features, limits and prices may change during the beta.
2. No guarantees
The beta is provided as is. It may contain bugs, and the service may be unavailable at times. Keep important transcripts yourself too, for example through export.
3. Your content
Your recordings and transcripts remain yours. You only give us the right to process them to provide the service, such as storing, syncing, sharing through a link you create and summarising when you ask for it.
4. Your responsibility
- You only record what you are allowed to record. Ask the people you record for consent where needed, and respect copyright and platform terms.
- You only share what you are allowed to share. A share link can be read by anyone who has it.
- You do not use TapeNote to harm the service or others.
5. Fair use
Limits apply in the beta too, to keep costs and abuse in check. In case of outliers we contact you before restricting anything.
6. Stopping
You can stop and delete your account at any time. We may end the beta or revoke your access in case of abuse. If the beta ends, we tell you well in advance how to export your data.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage or loss of data from using the beta.
8. Law
These terms are governed by Dutch law.
