Which cookies does this site use?

None. We use no analytics, no ad networks, no social media buttons and no fonts or scripts from other companies. We do not store anything in your browser’s local storage either.

Why no cookie banner?

The law (the ePrivacy rules, in the Netherlands the Telecommunicatiewet, and the GDPR) only requires consent for cookies and similar techniques that are not strictly necessary, such as tracking and analytics. Strictly functional cookies are allowed without consent. We set none at all, so there is nothing to consent to.

And the web app?

The web library (TapeNote Cloud) only uses functional cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language. They are needed for the service to work and therefore need no consent.

If this changes

Should we ever add privacy-friendly visitor statistics, we will choose a cookieless service that runs in the EU, and update this statement beforehand.
